Thorne is built much like a thoroughbred horse, muscular, but clearly designed for speed; she is, of course, unmistakably not a horse. She's almost 17 hands high at the withers, and her long legs end on sharp cloven hooves of a soft ivory color. Her hide is an indescribable color; it's white, but not any shade of white the mind can fully comprehend. Her mane is long, thick, and tangled, though she sometimes allows young virgins to brush it out and braid it; her tail is three feet long and leonine, the last foot of it is covered in long hair much like that of her mane. Her horn is a foot long and bone, curving in a spiral pattern and ending in a viciously sharp point.

Unicorns are solitary creatures, living their whole lives alone in their chosen forest. This doesn't mean they don't welcome company, just that they are not inclined to seek it out. Thorne is no exception to this, choosing to spend her life wandering throughout the Shamarran Jungle; if she meets you on the road, she's happy to stop and share a meal, or offer advice, since she knows the forest by heart. She has a hobby as well, but it's not something she gets to do often. She goes on quests; or, more accurately, she accompanies others when they go on quests, as a companion to help when needed. She tends to meddle in the lives of those she meets, often with little regard for the consequences; that's what comes from being old, and not human. Thorne is calm and pleasant most of the time, a seasoned veteran of life, but do not make the mistake of thinking she's harmless or timid, just because she's a unicorn. She's quite bold and determined, and she is no stranger to violence, and has even been known to start a ruckus or two.

Thorne has the advantage of more than seventeen hundred years of experience, and this is rather chalk full of knowledge and advice. She's fast and strong, knows how to conceal herself, and possesses powerful magic.

She struggles to understand elves and humans, they simply make no sense to her. She can be quite short-tempered and is notorious for making judgments and holding grudges. She is quite terrified of loud noises.

Thorne's history is rather vague, as only she knows the whole story, and she tends not to remember things well. For example, she can't quite recall the circumstances of her birth; she may have sprung from a pool of water, or been carved out of ice and snow. She also has trouble remembering the details of her many adventures, and forgets names easily.
